TBR Takedown 4.0

This is the second of these read-a-thons and I'm excited. There are 5 challenges taking place during this week, which is set up by leaning lights (who can be found on Twitter and Youtube) and can be followed mainly on twitter, where sprints are taking place.

The challenges for the week are fairly loose and books can be used for more than one category. I have books for each of these challenges and hope to read all 5 books during this read a thon.

1. The first is a book which has been on my TBR shelf for over a year.
For this I have decided to read 'The Chimes' by Anna Smaill. I am excited to read this book and it was long listed for the Man Booker Prize 2015 and has an intriguing premise in the dystopian genre.

2. The second challenge is an unread sequel on my TBR shelf. This book was the easier challenge to fulfil and I chose 'Those who leave and those who stay' by Elena Ferrante the third book from the Neapolitan novels.

3. Next up, the first book from a series on my TBR shelf. I chose 'Anna and the French kiss' by Stephanie Perkins, a contemporary trilogy which sounds like a great summer read.

4. An 'out of comfort zone' book is next on the list and this is naturally hard to select as I usually stay within similar genres. Therefore I selected a non fiction book, 'The Four Dimensional human' by Laurence Scott, which is about living in a constantly connected world.

5. The final challenge was a book from my most recent book haul, in which I chose 'Highly Illogical Behaviour' by John Corey Whaley. This is his new book and having read and enjoyed 'Noggin' I am looking forward to reading this book.

An overview of the challenges are:
1. A book that has been on your TBR for over a year
2. An unread sequel on your TBR shelf
3. A first book from a series on your TBR shelf
4. An 'out of comfort zone' book on your TBR shelf
5. A book from my most recent book haul
