Birthday book haul

My birthday is in June and to celebrate I brought more books!

Ok only a few books, after I received a few as presents, so thats all ok, right?

I love that my birthday is near summer, so I can buy summer time reads as well as the books which I have been looking forward to all year!

A Court of Mist and Fury – This book is the sequel to A Court of Thornes and Roses, Feyre is haunted by the events from the first book. She has also made a bargain with the Night Court, in which much of the book takes place and the feared Rysand. I loved the first book so I couldn’t wait to pick this one up.

The Last Act of Love – Autobiographic account if when a few weeks before his GCSE results Cathy’s brother is involved in an accident that causes him long term damage. I believe this book follows the adaptations and the strength needed. I’m expecting this book to be interesting to read but cry-worthy book.

Tender follows the story of James and Catherine, who from their first meeting share a bond despite they are quite different from one another. I have heard good reviews from this book, that the writing style varies throughout and that the characters are not particularly likeable. Sounds intriguing to me.

The Unexpected Everything - Following a political scandal, her congressman father is off work for the summer until it blows over. But Andie and her father have never really spent any time together and don’t know much about one another. I love Morgan Matson. It involves dogs and probably a cute boy. A great summer read!

The Faerie Guardian is a young adult fantasy book. Faerie guardian has to transport a human boy out of the faerie realm after he follows her there. Not sure how this is a whole series so obviously its more complicated and troubles ensure.

The Ecliptic takes place on an island which houses a retreat for artists. I really don’t know much about this book and I think that’s the way it should be with this type of book.

Cinder is the first in a series of fairy tale retellings. There was so much hype surrounding this series when it first came out. This first book is surrounding Cinderella retelling.

Woman of the Dead is a thriller novel following an undertaker who seeks revenge after her husband has been murdered.
